Wow! It's or last week here in San Angelo (my husband is in the military) and we came here for my birthday with our 4 month baby. From the outside you wouldn't even realize the size of this place! Parking was limited but lots of street parking. We were immediately greeted and while we waited for a table, the host asked us if we wanted to wait at the bar so we could sit. We heard the service wasn't the fastest but we weren't in a rush. The food was pretty good and I wish we tried this place sooner! We had the deep fried mushrooms and bacon wrapped jalapeños to start. Yummy! You MUST order the bacon wrapped jalapeños!!! Best I've ever had. For our entrees I had the avocado stuffed with brisket and my husband had the brisket burger. Both were fantastic. I even tried the Santa Rita which was one of the best margaritas I've had in a long time! I don't plan on coming back to San Angelo but if we ever do...I'm coming back to this place!

I have been here several times. I really enjoy the food, their fries are amazing! I've had the burger, pulled pork sammie, jalapeno poppers & Texas antipasto. I enjoyed all of it. I don't suggest going here if you're starving. It takes quite a while to receive your food. Their mixed drinks are tasty, too. I had the Island Pearl, can't wait to go back & have it again. The outside area is very nice, very enjoyable when there's a live band. & there's a place for the kids to play, as well. I gave it 4 stars for the time it takes to receive the food & because I ended up with gum on my ankle from being on the table leg. Gross! The waitress said "Ewww." Didn't even offer to clean it for me. I had to ask her to bring me a wet towel.

I was warned about horrible service but had a wonderful experience. Stephanie was a great server, she truly was passionate about her job. After my husband ordered a beer, she brought a sample of another brand, she shared her enthusiasm with everyone and was helpful to us. Hubby ended up ordering the local craft beer Eola Farm Ale, which is very good. The food was beautifully presented--I felt like I was eating on Food Network. I ordered the Seared Tuna Salad and it was very good, as was the Cowboy Sushi appetizer. Their original and freshly made Santa Rita was delicious--no premade margarita mixers used. Cons: it was cold in there. We will be back!

The service was fast and friendly. I'd say if you ordered anything other than the not so stuffed pork brisket avocados you might really like this place. But if you like a teaspoon of brisket with your meal then who's to say you wouldn't really like it. The waitress offered to get me more but I just kinda wanted to leave as I had already waisted my time and meal there.

Over priced! Assuming they can because they have no competition. Still a great restaurant overall. You have to check this place out people.

Once again impressed with the food and beer selection. Cowboy sushi, Guinness Burger, Blue Cheese burger are great but the Car bin brownie is fantastic. If you have the chance, Brandon is an awesome waiter.

Great food and great staff but even better beer and cocktails. The atmosphere is on point and very hip, especially for San Angelo. We love sitting outside and listening to music while putting down a great Moscow Mule or Santa Rita!

Amazing food, incredible drinks, even better staff and service! Ordered the cowboy sushi appetizer and the brisket stuffed avo. You have to try the hill county iced tea, you will not regret it!

This is my second trip to The Pearl & I really like it. The first time I came for dessert only & it didn't disappoint. They have the best (if not the only) bread pudding in town! I also tried their Turkey burger today & it was moist & flavorful. Served with a "rainbow" salad that was like a cold macaroni salad minus the macaroni! It had carrots, red bell peppers, peas, onion & a mayo-type dressing. It was good! I have read & heard numerous feedback about the poor service, especially to the military members in uniform, but our experience today was great, friendly service & good food. We came after the lunch rush, which may have helped :-) We will definitely be back again, there are still several things we want to try, and of course I have to get my bread pudding fix!!

The vintage green building catches your attention when passing by, but the best part of the Pearl can't be seen from the road! They have an amazing back patio area with an outdoor bar, live music and dance floor. Not to mention, The food was amazing! I had a salad and my friend had the chicken fried steak. Great bucket beer deals and an impressive selection! Loved this place!

Great menu, that tells a story. It makes for a fun time. The food is good, and has complimentary presentation. The servers are good enough, but seem to get distracted especially when they are busy. This place has ample seating for groups, but it will take longer to get your food as smaller groups orders will be prepare before yours will. Still the food makes this place worth the trip. My recommendation is the brisket stuffed avocado salad. I've done the cowboy sushi, brisket burger, CFS. YEPPERS ALL GOOD. The down side is the parking, lack there of. Still worth dealing with though

Had lunch here today. Now maybe I didn't read the menu fully, but when I ordered fish tacos, I expected to get fish tacos. They serve "sashimi tacos" here. Cold and slimy. Ate them since I was pressed for time, but felt lousy all afternoon. The beer menu was impressive tho. I might give it another shot because I've heard nothing but good things, but I was not one bit pleased today. Beer and a burger next time and maybe I'll update the review.

Our second time here and we ordered the pecan smoked brisket everything about it was good. The moist and tender brisket, beans and the best red potatoe salad. One of the reason I love going there is for the Santa Rita margarita. Manager came by our table and asked about the margarita and I told him my favorite so guess what no charged for the Rita. The Santa Rita was voted the best Rita in Angelo. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

I love this place! Rustic dishes, classic flavors, contemporary style, and an obvious passion for simple goodness makes it always a good choice, no matter what you order. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the inconsistent service: if you happen to be there during peak hours, the food could take its time and bar drinks come slowly to the table.

Had brunch here today! Saturday's 10-2. The brunch menu is pretty small and simple. Migas, eggs Benedict, quiche (they were out), brisket and eggs, and a few others. They also have a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, so they bring you a glass of vodka or champagne and you add your own flavoring to it, very good! I had the migas, they were uneventful themselves, comes with 3 corn tortillas, awesome refried beans! It wasn't too crowded right at 10 and service was good, started picking up right before lunch. I'm sure we will be back

Good food, awesome bar. One of the best beer selections in town. Great atmosphere, as well.

I almost gave this place 3 stars instead of 4 based on the fact that service was horrible and the prices were a little steep. But the food and presentations were amazing so I have it 4. From the time we walked in the atmosphere was fun, casual, and eclectic; but the hostesses were borderline incompetent! It took FOREVER for our waitress to come to our table, and it was not very busy yet. She knew absolutely nothing about their beer lists and my husband chose a German draft beer based on the fact that he likes German beer alone. Thankfully, it was a delicious beer! I ordered their Whiskey spiked sweet tea and it was out of this world refreshing with fresh mint in it! We have a 2 year old son and here many other families their enjoying the atmosphere, playground, and live music! (The band was awesome! I wish I knew who they were!) Our food came out all at different times with my husbands coming out 30 mins after mine! The waitress never brought us our bill, we had to grab her and hand her our credit card! And when she gave it back with the receipt it blew my mind that my sons corn dog and fries with milk cost $8!!!! I ordered the ahi tuna tacos as an entree and o asked the waitress how many tacos come with it and she said 5. So I though it was going to be thoroughly filling, however she failed to inform me they are bite sized! I know they were listed as an appetizer, but you still never know how big the dishes are at new places. Needless to say, those were $14!! The amazing food/drinks and atmosphere is the only reason I am giving it so many stars. The service needs to be reevaluated big time!

Best burger place I tried in San Angelo. I had the Guiness Burger on two separate occasions and ribs on another. The ribs were meh, but the burger was amazing. Excellent fries as well. The atmosphere was quite nice as well. When I was there there was a rep from the Odell brewery in Colorado handing out free stickers and keychains. Pros: Great burgers and fries Friendly staff Nice look and feel Cons: Texas sweet tea was more Texas than Sweet tea. A lot more. However, the waitress dod have the bartender remake it for me.

I went here for a couple of group dinners while I was in town for a class. They are able to handle large groups with ease which you can't find everywhere. I've ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeños, the brisket plate with beans and potato salad, and the chicken sandwich with fresh made potato chips. All items were awesome! The brisket plate was huge, more than enough for 2 meals. I loved the addition of cream cheese in the bacon wrapped jalapeños and the smoked Gouda on the chicken sandwich. I've never had fresh made potato chips before and I loved them. Everyone I ate with liked their food too, I would definitely come back!

I had the bacon wrapped jalapeños and chicken fried chicken. Both were great choices. Great menu with lots to choose from and variety. While you might think it's just bar food from the outside the food is good.

Service was horrible! Seated quickly but then took awhile before we saw waitress Morgan. Then a long time til she took our order. And then a long time until food delivery. We asked for ketchup for child's plate, never showed up and never saw her again to fill glasses. I had ordered pulled pork sandwich and it was all fat! I finally caught Morgan, told her that I could not eat and she said "ok" and walked off. I finally caught the manager walking by and told him and he poked at my food with my fork before half-assed apologizing and reluctantly taking it off our ticket. I was with others and a 10% tip was left although if it were just me it would have been -0-. I don't live in San Angelo but will never again return to this place.

We went to the Concho Pearl for the first time last night. Almost every other place we've tried in the area has been a huge disappointment, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that this place is good-- like, "I am actually looking forward to going back" good! For appetizers, we had the fried pickles and the cowboy sushi. The breading on the pickles was a bit thick and heavy, but the pickles had a nice spicy flavor and the dipping sauce was very good. I wasn't a huge fan of the sushi overall (it's very dry-- needs a dipping sauce), but the flavor of the smoked brisket was excellent and I have to give them points for creativity. We had the American burger and the smoked yard bird sammie; both were very good (especially the yummy buttered, griddled buns). Overall, the food was quite tasty and the portions are nice and filling. Now the "needs work" portion of the review.....first, we had the absolute worst seats in the house at a tiny table jammed diagonally between the exit to the patio and the bathrooms, This meant we were constantly bumped and bothered by the people coming in and going out. They should just take that table out and cram in two more seats at the bar-- it would make things more pleasant for everyone. Another thing that took a bit away from the experience was the service; our waitress was nice, but she seemed to be the only one doing any work. I saw at least 2 others in the section, but they didn't seem to be taking care of any customers. As a result, the one girl doing anything was a bit frazzled (not that I blame her-- she was busting her butt!). Finally, the drinks-- they didn't have the beers they listed on the menu, a "fresh-squeezed" lemonade was 4 bucks and tasted NASTY (weird chemical taste in it), and sodas and mixed drinks are more ice than drink. Still, a vast improvement over a lot of the other places we've tried in San Angelo. We will be back for more!

We have gone here a few times and tried different items on the menu. The food tastes alright and the atmosphere is out of the ordinary for San Angelo, which can be refreshing at times. The place really hasn't treated us bad until today, and unfortunately, it was a costly mistake because we will not be going to this restaurant ever again. We sat down, consisting of four active duty Airmen and two others. We were celebrating one of the soldiers going to EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) school. Three of us decided to go for the ghost burger, and if you complete the challenge, you earn a T-shirt. Prior to ordering the burgers, we asked if they have enough T-shirts in stock, and the waitress assured us they did. The burgers were finished, and when it came time to receive the T-shirts, she had an extremely limited number of size options, which was a disappointment, because none of them fit any of the three. What tipped us over the edge was their military discount policy. Now, I entirely understand that military discounts are absolutely a privilege and are never something to be expected. However, on previous visits while not in uniform, we have been given a 5% discount when showing our military IDs, and we had been told that there is also a 10% discount for military WHILE in uniform. We received our checks and had to hurry to pay, because we had already taken up our lunch hour. We gave the waitress our cards, she ran them, gave us the checks back, and we found that we were not given a discount. When we asked about it, her reply was, "Oh, you actually have to ask for it..." Now, mind you, there were four active duty military members IN UNIFORM, and you're trying to tell me they have to ask for a military discount? AFTER you run their cards? Either the waitress was trying to cover up her own mistake or this restaurant knows how to truly 'patronize' their customers (sarcasm). I suggest either have a discount or don't, and don't leave room for any shady/gray area.

Last night was our first visit to The Concho Pearl - we just moved to San Angelo a few weeks ago. It was my husband's birthday and we were going out as a family with our two teens. We are always looking for a place with a good beer selection, good food and, if possible, a live band to listen to. After a little research on facebook, we quickly discovered that The Pearl had it all!!! It was pretty crowded when we we got there, but we weren't in a hurry, so we grabbed some margaritas from the bar (delicious! All real ingredients - no sweet and sour mix!) and drinks for the kids (which, I do have to say, I thought were a little pricey - $4 for a lemonade and $4 for an IBC root beer) and headed outside to join the crowd. This is a very family friendly place with a jungle gym and swings for the kids - even our teens got into the fun with the little ones! We were sat pretty soon after and Alyssa was our server. She was great! She gave us a head's up that there was a big party before us, so the food might be a little slower than usual. Didn't bother us at all! We had drinks, music and the kids were having a great time running around. Alyssa was super helpful with the menu - there are so many yummy things to choose from! She was also very knowledgeable on the beer selection. I love it when a server knows their stuff - obviously well trained and an excellent attitude (I believe that starts from the top, so thank you to the owners!). The food came out hot and plenty of it! The ahi tacos were nice and spicy and the dipping sauce took it to a new level. The kids had chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken with loaded mash potatoes and collard greens. I prefer the chicken fried steak mainly because I'm not a huge fan of chicken breast. The potatoes I could eat all day and the collards were cooked well too. They were a little sweet for my taste, but my son ate them (and he hates greens). My husband had a Guinness burger - one of the best burgers he's had in a long while! Then came dessert - since it was his birthday, he got a chocolate cake with chocolate gaunache with vanilla ice cream. The cake was heavenly! I wasn't a diggin the ice cream - sorry to say! But others rave about it, so it probably just me. Anyway, I am SO glad that we went here last night! My husband had a wonderful birthday and The Pearl played a big role in that. We enjoyed every aspect of the place - the outdoor seating, the band, the food, the drinks and the staff. We are definitely going to become regulars there. Keep up the good work!!!

After having read some of the reviews and comments about the service I found personally the service to be excellent there was no long wait Haley was exceptional our waitress . The beer battered mushrooms are awesome , The Santa Rita was very good. Food was very good. Overall I would give it a higher rating !

  • Leanne B.

The food here is quite delicious! I've had a few different things from the menu. A couple dishes were a little bit dry; the lamb burger and the brisket burger. I enjoy their other burgers though. The reason for the three star rating is because the service blows every time I have been. It's every server I've ever had. Last time I was there, it took 20 minutes to get a lemonade. They are often out of drinks or food and they're pretty slow about getting checks back. Maybe they just need more staff...

I had a rack of ribs. Huge ribs, beans and potato salad. All were excellent. My wife had the Pecan Smoked Brisket, fries and beans. We had sweet tea and it was wonderful. Great food! Patti was our server and she was exceptional. The place is very clean. They had outdoor seating and a live band. Prices were very reasonable for the portions. I'll be back!

What an awesome place. First they have a great bar with a bartendar that know what they are doing. She recomended a few beers that were right up my alley but never would have thought have. The food was awesome. The ahi tuma tacos is a must for any body that likes sushi. I will make a point of coming nack here next tkme I am in town.

I LOVE their food. The turkey burger gets me everytime! They also have an pretty awesome beer selection. I love the atmosphere as well. Only drawback I can think of is that it's overpriced. I'd rather not pay up in the teens for a burger but I guess I'll settle if it's that delicious everytime. Highly recommended just make sure you have enough money.

I've started drinking a Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro and Amy's Irish Cream ice cream float. It makes a fantastic desert.

Devin and Bri make the bar a wonderful environment for causing a ruckus as the corner guy. The food is awesome. The people are friendly. The beers are plentiful. The assortment of beers rivals any other that this town could possibly put forward. Devin is super gorgeous and full of sass, but her knowledge of Beers and cocktails is second to none. Bri is a load of fun behind the bar and wears a kick ass Led Zeppelin vest some days.

I liked the idea of going here as soon as I saw their website. Very modern, excellent photos of seemingly delicious food split up into a few simple categories. And anytime they advertise the number of bottled beers they have or rotating taps..I'm Usually sold. Quick service, friendly waitress. Four of my beer/alcohol requests turned up to not be in-stock. Careful of using the online website as much of that has changed. However the bar tender came out multiple times to let me sample similar beers or to see what else he could do. The food was great, and I plan on being a repeat customer simply due to the cool look, awesome service, and diverse bar. Sabrina, out waitress was very attentive, had great recommendations and left us with smiles on our faces. Loved her tats.

Great food. 4 stars because the service although friendly, was slow. Brisket was tender and flavorful, Burger was done to perfection. Homemade Great patio area/playground for kids. Awesome live music.

Just ate dinner here on a stop during a road trip. We waited at the entrance an uncomfortable amount of time while the servers hurried back and forth, not acknowledging us. Finally one stopped to seat us. Based on yelp reviews, we ordered the cowboy sushi and ahi tacos. The cowboy sushi was some dry brisket, melted cheddar and pickles rolled in a flour tortilla. After a 40 minute wait, it arrived appearing that it had been sitting under a heat lamp about 35 of those minutes. Tasteless, dry and old looking. The ahi tacos (which we sent back after one bite) are literally taco shells with lumps of raw tuna inside. Not seared. Not even seasoned that we could tell. And this doesn't seem like the kind of place where one should feel comfortable partaking in raw or undercooked meats. The server (Payton) was not attentive, not knowledgable, and not the least bit apologetic for the wait or terrible food. Our kids enjoyed their meals of mac and cheese, corn dogs, sliders and chicken tenders (that appeared to have been fried in old grease). The kids plates are the only thing that earned them a star. We are only going to be in town two days, and if this is the best San Angelo has to offer, it's going to be a loooooong two days.

3 stars for now. They just opened the night before, so hopefully things will get better! We tried Pearl Ice House last night and they had pretty yummy burgers! However, since they just opened, they had their flaws. They ran out of fries at around 7 PM and they haven't received their lamb shipment, yet. We waited a very long time for our food. I would recommend, if you plan to hit up this place soon, going in the afternoon so they won't run out of things or just waiting a couple weeks until they are fully established. Overall, I think this would be a great place to go. Everyone at our table loved their alcoholic beverages, so the Bartender had to be amazing!

If I could give zero stars I would. Things about this place wrong: Unfriendly to miltary and handicap. Which by the way the are not in compliance with the Ada act and I have reported them for this! Bad food small servings poor service rude and crass. Not to be a hater but this place was better in its previous incarnation

Devin is the best! Sit at the bar, best service, best conversation and best burgers!! Try the Bacon Blue Burger... Excellent beers too!!

Went recently with friends. Able to sit anywhere and even got to move to a bigger table as needed. Great beer selection. Burgers were very good. Fries good but a bit spicy (def fresh pepper). Service very good. My only complaint is the same as a friend's, it's a bit pricey and there are other burger joints in town on par but cheaper.

My husband and I have been waiting on pins and needles for this place to open! Check out our full review here : wp.me/p2RQEw-M They're still working out a few kinks as a new restaurant, but their concept is fun and the flavors are good. It's worth checking out for the tap/bottled beer list alone. We're sad they opened just as we are about to move to a different state, but we wanted to give them some good publicity before we go!

Wish we could have got a seat. Seam like I was profiled then told it would be a 30 min wait. They told the next couple different. STRANGE? Hostess seam happy we left. Not why the criteria is for a seat. Just saying. I WILL NOT BE BACK!

Definitely one of the better places to go eat and have drinks in San Angelo. I've had the barbecue brisket sandwich twice and also their bacon wrapped jalapeno appetizer. Both are really good and was not disappointed. I LOVE their french fries! Really crispy and good. It;s one of those places that I want to try everything on the menu but cant in one sitting lol Also they have a nice drink menu. Their drinks are really fresh, I can tell they have good bartenders.

I got to see two of their employees do shot drinks behind the bar tonight. Keeping it classy! I assume TABC was not in the house. Check the camera in the bar, management! This place suffers from poor management.

  • Tyler S.

The only experience I've had so far is with the rack of ribs. They were huge and very filling, but and a big but, barbecue sauce used with ribs shouldn't be vinegar based and sour. That's for pulled pork. The barbeque sauce was a huge failure point for me.

  • Peter S.

How does this place not have fives across the board, been multiple times and the service is always great, the beer selection is great ( big fan of seasonal dogfish head and the like and there is always something here to pick) and the food has always been amazing! The jalapeño poppers with the buffalo sauce rock, and so does the cowboy sushi, the Guinness burger was great but the chips with the in house ketchup was amazing and don't get me started on that Mac and cheese ( I had three bowls). If you can get the peach cobbler do it, but that car bomb brownie is damn good too!

  • Nicole J.

Love this place. The Bacon wrapped jalapenos are always delicious and spicy however it only comes with 5 (it's a bit pricey for a small serving). The country fries are to die for as well as the bacon blue burger. The only cons would be that the menu is pretty limited to bbq or burgers. But if you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere this is the place to go!

WHOA BUDDY!!! I tell you what, after not being in San Angelo for about 7 years, being surprised at the variety of eating establishments, this place is an example of the trending movement for making nearly everything in-house (re: pickles, smoked sausage, and more I can't remember). In my professional opinion, the BEER CHEESE SOUP, is a most outstanding product, delectable, ribs are excellent (good smoke ring, tender but stay on the bone), potato salad that I wish I would have stuffed more in my pockets for later, and the beans, THE BEANS, the first bite, you think "man, those are hot", few minutes later you have to eat a couple bites, yep, lotsa peppers cooked in them beans, makes my nose run, but the flavor with the spice......it's right on. The bread pudding is good.....but I am thinking that next time..........I'm gonna have a bread bowl of BEER CHEESE SOUP for dessert.

Came to the Pearl looking for something fun and new. Found the food to be under seasoned and over priced. And the service deplorable. Will not be returning.

We were in the city for four days and ate here twice and got takeout sides once. NEVER disappointed. Chance was an awesome server and added to the experience. I loved the gentle sauce on the chicken fried chicken, the greens were tender, nicely cut, and perfectly seasoned. The ribs are outstanding and the gorgonzola salad was more than enough for two. Love this place!!

This recent addition to the San Angelo culinary scene is fantastic. The unique meal options area a delight. Try the cowboy hummus, avocado stuffed brisket, and the brisket baker. Any of those three will guarantee a delicious meal. Just make sure if you get the avocado dish that you get sufficient meat in the avocado. I have some scrawny looking ones too. Between the quality of the food and delicious local draft beers, you are in for a treat.

I would say this is a 3.5 review since they just opened and can work on a few things. I was here this week on a Tuesday with a large group of 15. We had two waitresses and they were both quick to get our drinks in. I had the cucumber mojo which was really tasty but got watered down by the time I finished since they used a full water glass of ice instead of a cocktail glass. I appreciate that they wanted to wait to have the full party present but it took 45 minutes for our food order to be taken. By the time we ordered I got the teriyaki turkey burger which was really good and juicy especially with the grilled pineapple ring. They put a lot of jalapeños on it that I took off and it could have used a small bit of mayo. I got the fries which were good instead of the rainbow salad. The chipotle ketchup was pretty spicy. We also shared the bacon wrapped jalapeños (really good) and the gravy fries which were delicious. The only thing is they tried to take the fries twice before we were finished and I had to guard them. Otherwise the food was good. It took a while to get our checks (I understand we had 15 people ) and didn't get out of there until almost 8:45 and got there at 6pm. The only pet-peeve was that I gave the waitress $30 cash for an $19 tab and asked for change and she gave me a 1 and 10 back so it was hard for me to give a tip. This place is still new so I'm sure it'll only get better. On the higher end of price for san Angelo ($13 burger and $8 drink.) otherwise a good vibe channeling Austin and Dallas. Definitely has potential.

This will soon be considered the best restaurant in San Angelo. As other reviewers have said, they are still working out some of the kinks. Drinks: Great beer, wine and cocktail selection. The bar area is super cozy and it would be a good place to gather with friends and hang out. Would recommend the Santa 'Rita. Yummy. Food: I had the ribs and they were excellent. Friends ordered burgers and the chicken fried steak. I tried the chicken fried steak and it was somewhat bland. One of the friends I was with order the 13 ghosts burger. Bad idea. It was incredibly hot to the point of being inedible, which I guess is somewhat the idea. Seems more like a novelty item. The other burgers were reported to be delicious. Service: Our servers were excellent. However, I witnessed a male server arguing with his SO outside the front door of the restaurant. When we went in the afternoon, there were children that belonged to one of the employees playing in the dining area without supervision. Also a baby was being held and walked around in the kitchen. Not having children myself, I would rather others keep them wrangled if they are in a restaurant setting. I also don't really want to have to watch the personal lives' of the employees unfold. Overall this place has great atmosphere, their menus were creative and well-thought out. The majority of the staff are super friendly and attentive. Really fun place, would recommend!

Excellent food, but the service is possibly the worst I've ever had. This may be a good place to go if you aren't hungry - you will be starving by the time you actually get anything to eat. I have now been here twice, but only ate once The first time I was in a small group. Our meals took nearly an hour after we ordered, and this was after waiting a while for the appetizer before the waiter actually took our meal order. The entire ordeal took over two hours, from the time we entered to when we were leaving, and probably only 20 or 25 minutes of that was actually eating. The waiter was nice, and knew the menu well, but couldn't even remember that I didn't want ice in my water. In the two hours I was there I think he refilled my water just twice. It also took him 20 minutes to come back and tell me that part of my order wasn't going to be available. The second time I went, I was seated right away, but no one ever came to my table. I sat for 20 minutes and was never even offered a glass of water. The restaurant was busy, but not overly so. There were several empty tables, and no one waiting. I walked out. After leaving my table, I asked the hostess if I could to speak to the manager. He apologized, but otherwise showed little concern, and let me walk out with no attempt at keeping my business. His attitude was such that it made me think this was a regular occurrence for him. The food, if you ever get to eat any of it, is incredible. However, massive amounts of patience are required if you plan on actually eating here. Despite the excellent food, and several menu items that I would really like to try, I won't be back. With service like this, I'll be surprised if this restaurant survives.

The level of service has its ups and downs. It is a roll of the dice. Never get take out from here, they forget stuff and the food is no where near as good and the portions are horrible. If you dine in the food is good and the drinks are great. Also has a 15% discount for military. I go here on a monthly basis with one of my buddies and will keep going back.

One of the top 2 places to have dinner in San Angelo!!!!!!! Aside from Peasant Village this place is where it is at!!! Atmosphere, 10! Drink selection, 10! FOOD, 10! SERVICE, 10!! I highly recommend being seated in Neimans section. He is incredibly knowledgeable on all things Concho Pearl!!! He knows his menu and beers!!! HE is extremely attentive and very interesting to talk to. Avocado stuffed Brisket is seasonal but if they still have it I suggest giving it a try! YUM. Hamburgers are to die for and their vanilla ice cream is insane. This place just keeps getting better with the addition of the outside patio and play area for the kiddos!!!!! GET YOU SOME CONCHO PEARL, you won't regret it!

My new fave place in San Angelo! Can't wait to try the whole menu. We've thus far had the hatch burger, the brisket burger, and the portabello burger, as well as the Texas antipasto and bacon wrapped jalapeños. My only complaint is that my stomach isn't big enough to get it all! A true asset to San Angelo, give it try!

I'm giving four stars based on the dessert, appetizers and beer selection. I've had the chicken sandwich and the Guiness Burger. I loved the sautéed mushrooms and onions on the burger but everything else was bland to me. Under seasoned. The chicken sandwich had a sweet bar-b-que sauce that I didn't care for. I ordered the Sante Fe margarita, that is their signature drink, but I didn't care for it. It's way too sweet for me. I recommend going for dessert or appetizers. The Amy's ice cream comes from Austin and is perfect paired with the peach cobbler. The appetizers are a win with the cowboy sushi, the antipasti platter and the beer cheese soup!! There is also a great beer selection, you can sample them before you decide!

We ordered shrimp brochette and the bacon came out raw around the shrimp, sent it back and the "manager" came back out 25 minutes later and told us that this was a new type bacon and this is how it was served. We also asked the bartender what type of drink he was making and he said, "here, just try theirs." Um, no. Our waitress told us it was her first day and she had never eaten there and didn't know what food was good. We will not be back.

Bri and Devon are among the best...nay...THE best bartenders I have encountered. Both are friendly, courteous, have amazing smiles and make amazing drinks. This is the only bar I will drink at in San Angelo.

From the first time my girlfriend and I came to this place we were treated like family. Incredible atmosphere; laid - back and lots of fun, the only complaint I have is that they're not open later! Tanner, Devin, and Bree always welcome us by name and have a drink ready for us by the time we sit down. I've been looking for an innovative bar that offers a wide variety of beers on tap and offers a small town bar feel, and this is it. My favorite place in San Angelo, the Pearl has never given me a bad experience!

NOT WELCOMING TO THE MILITARY. The food on the menu looked great; I wish I had had a chance to try it. I went with a group of 7 and all other patrons were seated before us, even those who arrived after us. I noticed some of the other patrons looking at us, even one of the male patrons who was seated turned his chair 90 degrees to look at us for a few minutes. We waited for an hour and 45 minutes before eventually leaving because we were so hungry. We asked to see the manager before leaving, he wasn't at all apologetic about the wait, the fact that we were never seated, or others being seated before us. The manager, wait staff, and other patrons didn't seem to want our business, but never said so. They just let us stand around until we finally got the message and left. I guess they don't want any out-of-town money.

Great beer selection, good food, poor service. Every time I've been, I've only been able to have 2 drinks, because it takes so long to receive them.

I've been here once and it was pretty good. I sat in the bar area and was served by the bartender who was friendly and attentive. The beer is good, the menu has an interesting layout that makes it fun to peruse. I had the cowboy sushi appetizer which is BBQ with pickles and other dressings rolled up in a tortilla and sliced and presented like sushi which was fun. The brisket entree I had was juicy and delicious.

Such a cool vibe in this place. Beer soup is delicious. Burger menu is VERY indulgent but if you're going to indulge, this is the place to make it worth while! On the lighter side, the salads are all huge & very satisfying. Fun place to go with friends on the weekend or during the week for lunch.

Always hit or miss. The food is sub par at best. It takes a very long time to come out and the brisket is always dry. Drinks are over poured, but around here maybe that's a good thing. I went once on a Friday at lunch and the food was actually really good. It seems they haven't exactly figured things out yet. One of the better drink selections in town. Moscow mule is one of my favorites.

All four of us had different entries and everyone said it was great. I had the brisket plate and the meat was tender and wonderful flavor. Other people in my party had the bread pudding for desert and they all said it was very good. Bid portions all the way around. Service was good for the lunch hour. Would definitely recommend this place.

First of all, the exterior facade is very unassuming and misleading-we thought it was JUST a "ice-house" bar and how wrong we were. We got a full bar and grill! With an outdoor patio. LOVED the ambience, vibe and food. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. Pecan smoked brisket, burgers, fries avocados & even the children's chicken bites were good and huge. We were looking for a place in town for burgers and stumbled upon this listing thru Yelp! and all reviews were useful. We will be back and will tell all those we know to come out and enjoy the flavors!

I had Cali Burger- the meat cooked perfectly, avocado and veggies fresh, fries perfect and homemade ketchup was a pleasant surprise! Husband had 1 and 1/2 pound baked potato with brisket, very tasty and more than he could eat ! Waitress very nice. There at lunch and service fast !

First of all, the accusation that this place profiles is absurd. One look at the staff will debunk that crock. Secondly they are extremely military friendly and even offer a decent discount. Here's the bottom line: If you like beer, this place is a contender with Joe's and Zero One. If you like wine, no restaurant can really match their selection. Devin, Tanner, and Jeremy are flawless bartenders that will definitely remember your name and preferred drink! Tuesdays are pint night and Wednesdays are wine down wednesdays. The food is delicious. Their chef is a saucier and his bbq sauces are unequalled. The cowboy sushi is a creative dish that is amazing, and the burgers are perfect. They're very popular with the locals and you occasionally might have to wait for a seat - it's worth it!

Good menu well executed - service could be better. The service: On our first visit, we had a waiter who is an obvious foodie and was a fantastic server. He was excited about the special, made recommendations, and kept our party of eight happy through dinner on a busy night. A recent visit with my husband landed us a young lady who never mentioned a special and seemed pretty shy about waiting tables. She wasn't bad, just needs more training. Is there a floor manager? I didn't notice one. The food: the burger menu is great - lots of choices. I have enjoyed the tzatziki lamb and the green chili beef. I like the spicy house-made catsup that comes with the fries. Decided to try the chocolate cake for dessert. It was a huge slice drowned in a hot chocolate sauce. Not what I was expecting, but tasty. Took it home and it was much more delicious out of the fridge. The decor: The exterior is really cute. Love the bold colors, the glass block, the metal lawn chairs. Inside, it's not quite as cute, but not bad either. What I find distracting is the weird local-looking "art". Are they trying to sell that stuff? Maybe a rotating show would be a good idea. What's awkward: need more of a waiting area for folks waiting for a table - they are standing too close to diners.

Great spot! My boyfriend and I came here to grab a burger and we were very satisfied! We got the bacon wrapped jalapeños - they were decent, not out of this world, but you can't go wrong with anything wrapped in bacon. I had the Guinness burger, which was a generously sized patty with smoked Gouda cheese, slathered in mushroom and onions sautéed in Guinness. He had the hatch burger, which was not spicy at all, the chilies are sweet. Honestly though, my favorite part was the fries! They are perfectly crispy and delicious. Definitely worth stopping by!

Some of the food was good, some was not (beans). This place has major potential. It is still new. There was a long wait for both foods and drinks. We had a party of 10. Six got food at once, the 7th about 10 minutes later. The last 3 got theirs about 30 minutes later. We were there over 2 hours. Staff was extremely good. Once these issues get fixed, they can be a 4 or 5 star easily. I will give it another try in about 6 months, and update review.

Fabulous food! Loved the avocado salad stuffed with brisket and the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. The burgers and fries are fantastic as well. The place has a great atmosphere with local art decorating the walls. The food was so good, we went two days in a row! I highly recommend it!

This place is delicious, especially the bacon blue burger. They ask you how you how you want your burger cooked. and they have ribs, wings, etc. And they're loaded mashed potatoes are the bomb! like a loaded potato but without the hassle! The pricing is okay, I wouldn't come everyday, more like once a week or every two. But it's worth the price.

Just stopped by for lunch and it was awesome. The bartender Jeremy was really nice and helpful and my order came out really fast. I had the yard bird which was really well done but the star of the show was the chipotle ketchup. I told Jeremy they should bottle it and he was sweet enough to offer to send some home with me. Think this is my new favorite place in town and I can't wait to come back for drinks. Highly recommend.

OMG....it was all awesome. From the cucumber marga-tini and Big Country fries appetizer to the Shrimp Brochette and Rib eye steak, it was all perfect. Way more than we could eat, but had to try the desserts anyway. Ordered bread pudding with bourbon sauce, chocolate cake with ice cream and brownie with Kahlua cream. Had one of the best waitresses ever. Just wish we had gotten her name. Will definitely be back many more times. Our new favorite place in San Angelo.

Great food, service needs some work. Don't be in a hurry-- 55 min wait for a chicken fried steak and shrimp brochette appetizer on a Monday evening when there were several open tables. Good enough I'll happily give it another try when I'm in less of a rush.

Went here hoping to have a good experience, but came away disappointed. The service was very slow (they were not busy), and had to wait awhile for the food to arrive. My chicken fry was under seasoned and overcooked. My mother ordered one of the salads with chicken, but very little chicken came in the salad. The two others with us said there food was fine. I hope to try the restaurant one more before marking it of the list of places to eat in San Angelo.

My friend and I overall had a good experience, with a couple of minor issues. I will say that the owners did an excellent job in renovating the old building and I think the place looks great. Also, the service was excellent. Our server was great, and when she was busy, others picked up the slack, which indicates a well trained staff. The Texas Antipasto plate was great, although it was rather small, even for us two. Our server mentioned that it was the "last" one of the night, so it is possible that ours was smaller than normal. My main complaint is that they had ran out of several things, including the beer that I wanted to order, and the Hatch Burger that I was looking forward to. Given the fact that they have been open for less than 2 weeks, I assume they are still in the learning process and will get this fixed in the near future. I did enjoy the burger, although the burgers were a bit pricey. I definitely think this will become a popular place in town, and plan on visiting again, especially when the patio opens next month.

I really had high hopes for this place. We recently finished our third visit here and basically had the same experience every time. We've tried several of their menu items and while each one seems to have good intentions behind them it seems that they are just trying to hard with results that just over complicate the dishes. The good thing about the Pearl is it has a lot of potential, I just don't understand how food can take so long to hit the table and when it arrives be cold. I read all of these recent reviews and I just haven't had even remotely the same experience. Our last visit prompted me to write a review because the service was below par which was paired with another extremely long wait on food. I have heard that they have a patio soon to open and I can't even begin to understand how they are going to accommodate all of these extra seats when it seems they have a real problem dealing with the few they have now. We will come back in a couple of months when hopefully the kinks of the new restaurant get worked out.
